An alarm planned around your property and routine

Start with the entrances, accessible windows, occupied areas and how you want to set the alarm when leaving or going to bed. We assess practical detector positions and agree which areas should be included. The aim is a system you understand and use consistently, with suitable detection and clear operating steps.

Suitable new installations and replacements

We directly supply and install suitable intruder alarm systems. Wireless equipment can be useful where new cable routes would be disruptive. Wired work is considered only where the existing or proposed cabling, equipment and installation are within our supported scope. We confirm this after identifying the property and system rather than promising every alarm platform.

  • Door and window contacts
  • PIR or other supported motion detection
  • Suitable internal and external sounders
  • Zones, setting modes and entry/exit setup
  • App access where the equipment supports it
  • User controls and practical handover

App features are equipment-dependent

Where supported, we configure app access and explain the notifications and controls available. Remote functions can depend on an internet or mobile connection, account access and provider services; some products have subscriptions. We confirm those details before supply. App notifications are not a promise of alarm-receiving-centre monitoring, police response or a continuously staffed service.

Inherited alarms, upgrades and supported repairs

If the existing alarm is unreliable or the installer is no longer available, send the make, model, visible fault and any documentation before a visit is arranged. We can assess supported systems, investigate faults and advise on servicing, partial replacement or an upgrade. Access credentials, parts availability and condition affect what can be retained; we do not promise to service every model or bypass ownership controls.

Commissioning and user handover

We test the agreed detection and setting functions, demonstrate normal use and explain user access and supported fault indications. Any ongoing servicing is scoped to the chosen equipment. If your premises has a specified certification, insurer or monitoring requirement, raise it before equipment is selected: we do not advertise NSI/SSAIB approval, insurer-approved grading, ARC monitoring or police-response eligibility.

Part of a joined-up security installation

Alarms can be planned alongside CCTV, suitable access control and door entry and Smart Home technology. EDD handles suitable technology and network interfaces; powered-gate installation and mechanical gate work remain with the gate installer. For a broader starting point, see Home Security.

Quoting and diagnosis

Tell us whether this is a new alarm, a replacement or a fault, together with the postcode and property type. A planned quotation and a hands-on fault investigation are different jobs. We explain any diagnostic charge before starting and agree the repair or installation scope before work proceeds.
