Planned quotations and non-invasive assessments may be free. Hands-on fault diagnosis can be chargeable, and we explain any charge before diagnostic work begins. We do not turn a single camera fault into a complete security replacement or add systems simply because they can be linked.Eligible installation and repair work is covered by our 24-month parts-and-labour guarantee. Full terms depend on the equipment supplied and the work completed.
CCTV — new installation or an existing fault?
For a new system, our CCTV installation service plans camera purpose, position, wired PoE, recording, storage and supported remote viewing around the property. Camera count and position follow a site survey, including the entrances and access routes that matter, blind spots, night conditions and the minimum necessary field of view. We propose the fewest cameras that meet the recorded purpose rather than using a fixed package size.
If cameras are already installed but one has gone offline, playback is missing, the recorder is beeping or the app has stopped working, use CCTV repair and fault diagnosis. We isolate camera, cabling, power/PoE, recorder, storage and network faults before recommending replacement parts.

Intruder alarms — supplied, installed and supported
EDD directly supplies, installs and services suitable intruder alarms for homes and appropriate small premises. We plan door/window contacts, motion detection, sounders and setting zones around the property and the way it is actually used.

Access control & door entry
For controlled doors and suitable existing powered gates, our access control and door entry service covers suitable fob, card and keypad/PIN entry, audio or video intercoms and door-release infrastructure. EDD handles the agreed technology, cabling, network and intercom interfaces; powered gate machinery, fire-door approval and other specialist life-safety responsibilities stay with the relevant competent specialist.
Smart video doorbells
A video doorbell can be the right answer when the job is simply seeing and speaking to visitors at the entrance rather than installing a full CCTV system. We fit compatible Ring, Nest, Eufy and other smart doorbells around the exact model, fixing surface, available power, chime and Wi-Fi coverage.

One survey when several systems genuinely overlap
CCTV, an alarm and door entry can share cable routes, network equipment and installation access without needing to become one oversized system. Where several parts are being installed together, we plan the physical routes and responsibilities once, then keep each function understandable and supportable. Where only one service is needed, we keep the scope to that service.

Wired CCTV, supported app access, intercoms and smart doorbells can depend on local network, PoE, Wi-Fi or internet connectivity in different ways. We can plan data cabling, home Wi-Fi or suitable commercial network infrastructure alongside the security work when that infrastructure is genuinely part of the problem.
