Tameside runs from the M60 in the west out to the edge of the Peak District in the east — five towns and a genuinely mixed housing stock. Most of Tameside takes Freeview from Winter Hill, transmitting from the west over central Manchester. That works cleanly across Denton, most of Hyde and lower Ashton — but the Pennine foothills throw genuine shadows across upper Stalybridge, Millbrook, Carrbrook, upper Dukinfield and Werneth Low, where the Saddleworth relay is often the better answer. We survey with a signal meter, tell you which transmitter is honestly the right target, and fit a new aerial or repair the existing one — no amplifier band-aids on a fundamentally poor install.

Full-fibre roll-out across Tameside is uneven — CityFibre and Openreach FTTP have reached parts of Ashton and Denton, but plenty of streets in Stalybridge, Dukinfield and upper Hyde still run FTTC and get well under 40 Mbps at the end of the street. Whatever the line, the ISP router alone rarely covers a full three-bed terrace with a rear extension. We design proper whole-home WiFi using Ubiquiti UniFi and TP-Link Omada access points on Cat6 backhaul — one SSID that roams properly across every room, garden and garage.

East of Stalybridge into Millbrook, Carrbrook, Copley and up toward Mossley, both fibre and 4G can be genuinely poor. Starlink reliably pulls 150–250 Mbps up here — we handle the bracket, cable route through weather-sealed entry, and integration into a proper UniFi or mesh network so it feeds the whole house, not just one room.
