The brief: a practical, connected meeting room
This commercial office in Trafford Park already had a meeting room with a table, seating, power outlets and perimeter containment. The next step was to give the space a wall-mounted display and a wired connection into the existing office network.
These requirements overlap. The screen needs a suitable viewing position, while the cabling needs a practical route back into the building's infrastructure. Evolution Data & Digital handled both as one project, with the physical AV and network work planned around the same room.

Positioning the display around the meeting table
We mounted the display on the meeting-room wall, taking the table, seating and door position into account. The aim was a clear focal point for shared content that fitted the room's existing layout.
The power outlets and dado trunking also informed the installation. Considering the mounting position alongside the cable route kept the display and its supporting infrastructure part of one coordinated job.
Working with the existing office containment
The room already had commercial dado trunking running around its perimeter. We planned the network route around that existing infrastructure so the new connection fitted the office installation.
Surface containment is a practical part of many commercial rooms: it provides an accessible route around the space. The project photographs show that arrangement, including the visible connection between the display and the trunking below.
A new wired connection into the office network
A new data cable was run from the meeting-room display area into the existing office network. Providing Ethernet at the display position prepares the room for connected equipment without making the wall's Wi-Fi reception the only available option.
That physical connection can support future meeting-room equipment as requirements develop. The important part of this project was incorporating the new network route into the office infrastructure alongside the display mounting. A straightforward meeting room does not automatically need an expensive dedicated conferencing system. Here, the useful starting point was a properly positioned display and a wired network connection, preparing the space for presentations and future meeting-room AV equipment.
